47th Annual

Kinsmen CF Radio Day

Due to the circumstances regarding COVID-19, we regret that the 47th Annual Kinsmen CF Radio day has been cancelled for 2020.  Regardless of the situation, the Kinsmen will continue to support CF Canada by making a donation.  Please consider making a donation through our site to support this worthy cause.  Your contributions help thousands of Canadian suffering from CF.

How We Make A Difference

Kinsmen CF Radio Day

Kin Canada is a proud national partner of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Each year Kinsmen and Kinettes host a variety of fundraising and awareness-building activities in support of the battle against cystic fibrosis.

Since 1973, the Kinsmen Club of Kirkland Lake has been raising funds in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

Blood Adoption Clinics

There is always an urgent need for new blood donors in Kirkland Lake.  According to Canadian Blood Services, only 4% of Canadians donate blood, yet up to half of us will either need it or know someone who will need it their lifetime.  From heart surgery that can require up to 5 donors to car accident victims who may need 50, donating blood is truly a gift of life. Consider joining us in our efforts to meet this vital need.  Our club helps address and advocate the need for blood donors through adopting blood donor clinics once a year and donating blood.

Ride for the Breath of Life

Since 2015, the Kinsmen Club of Kirkland Lake joining forces with the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Timmins for a motorcycle rally to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis.  In July 2018, we hosted a Poker Run at the Royal Canadian Legion in Kirkland Lake, raising over $2,500 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

Joining a service club isn't only about attending meetings and raising funds for charities and the community, it's about camaraderie and having fun. We sometimes get together to practice our archery skills, or play a round of golf with members of neighbouring clubs.  Our meetings are relaxed but productive, usually accompanied by good food and cold beverages at the Federal Tavern.
